Job Description
The Sr. Financial Analyst will support strategic growth and lead our Business Intelligence efforts. The role is responsible for leveraging data analytics and BI tools to support PE-driven initiatives, provide advanced financial analysis, and guide senior leadership with data-backed insights. This role will also support our budgeting and forecasting processes, and perform ad hoc analysis as required by leadership.
Essential Functions:
Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and financial reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning initiatives with data-driven modeling.
Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
Collaborate cross-functionally with different business units to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Automate and optimize existing financial reporting processes.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics to guide business decisions.
Ensure data integrity and consistency across multiple systems and reports.
Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner.
Perform in-depth analysis to evaluate ROI and risk for organic growth and add-on M&A opportunities.
Conduct deep-dive cost and margin analysis; develop initiatives tied to operational efficiency and EBITDA improvement.
Uphold internal control standards and ensure compliance with GAAP and PE reporting requirements.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
1-3 years in FP&A, business intelligence, or related field; experience in private equity-backed environments or corporate finance preferred.
Demonstrated experience in financial modeling — scenario analysis, M&A
Strong proficiency with Excel, Power BI/Tableau
Advanced skills in ERP/FP&A systems (e.g., Sage, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP,) and data warehousing
Excellent communication skills: able to translate data into clear stories for non-financial stakeholders.
Collaborative, detail-oriented, self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities in a PE-driven, fast-growth setting.
Experience in financial services, technology, or fast-paced environments
Understanding of GAAP and other regulatory financial standards
